I've been away from home for 5 weeks. My two 100ah SOK 's batteries in parallel are doing great. They charge very fast with my 400 watts of solar. I generally don't even think about preserving electricity unless I know we have rain or overcast over the next couple days.
If they do run low on electricity I charge with my Aims 2500 watt inverter/charger with a small portable generator, and charge around 75 amps.
I'm extremely pleased with my SOK's!
The battery construction is very nice. Has performed well so far. The BMS is nice I like the extra protection. Made it into a solar generator.
The batteries themselves seem really solid and a good build, however it has not been a great starting experience for a few reasons:
1) I can't seem to get the batteries charged passed 13v... this could totally be an issue with my charger, I am reaching out to both SOK support and my charger's support about this. But it looks like the charger thinks the batteries are at 100% at ~13v and stops charging.
2) There was absolutely no instruction about how to connect to the BMS via Bluetooth. I had to find the app by contacting support. The app is called ABC-BMS on the play store, not SOK.
3) Support told me the following when I asked about the bluetooth App... "SOK NOT correct at beginning, after 2 cycles, fully charge/discharge till cutoff, it would be correct." ...
Maybe that's something you should instruct us when we first get the batteries and not when we reach support for a completely unrelated manner?
I've purchased 4 batteries from you. I'm using them, 2 at a time, to
power a "student frig", a coffee maker, and a microwave oven. The first
pair of batteries had occasional problems even though they were mostly
powering just the frig (59 mA). Before giving up on the basic idea,
I decided to buy a pair of larger batteries - and they run perfectly
in my system.
I'd offer to give you exact model numbers on the batteries I've purchased
from you - but, fearing an error, I'm asking you to look up my purchases.
I'm writing to ask if one of the smaller 12v batteries could be wired
in parallel with the pair of larger batteries. Nominally they're all
"12volts" but their capacities are different. Also, in case this is
important, all these batteries measure "12 volts" as they arrived here
but, when I look at their voltages when running the whole system, they
show something like 13.8v .
The charge controller is a Renogy "Rover Elite, 40A MPPT Charge Controller".

Just as advertised. I did a lot of research before purchasing my two liFePo batteries for my travel trailer and it led me to these SOK’s. My battery endurance about tripled over my previous batts. I haven’t had a chance to test the built in heating feature yet, but winter is coming. So far I would definitely recommend.
